L50-B slow start up

When the laptop is powered on and I have signed in, it is taking approx 20 mins to load everything and I just have a black screen until my programmes come up? I have completed a virus scan but to no avail - help??

Its getting too hot.

Remove the covers and blow the dust out with compressed air. Use a laptop cooler.
