LA Noire Crashing

I bought LA Noire on the Steam sale and it looks pretty good but unfortunetly I'm plagued with a crash every 30 minutes. The s creen freezes and little white, almost hashtag looking symbols appear all across the screen and then goes to desktop. It leaves me the message -

My computer is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and the cards are SLI 580s with the latest non beta Nvidia Drivers. The game is run at full settings as well. Thanks for any advice and help, it us much appreciated!

I got this on the steam sale myself and it works fine for me. The error you posted above says "fault module: d3d11.dll". It's definately a video problem. Try running under DX10 instead of DX11 or possibly don't use the SLI and run with just one video card.

i second hawkeye, try disabling sli, the game is a console port doesn't need dual cards to run maxed (hell I've seen it run maxed on a laptop)

c5 could be access violation, make sure you're running the game with admin rights.

Also the game is frame locked at 30 FPS so no need for SLI.

I tried it without SLI and it lasted an hour before crashing but at the cost of horrendous pop up. At some points I would stop driving to let hte land beneath the car load. I tried DX9 and had the same pop up issues but I didnt play longer than 20 minutes so I couldnt tell you if it crashed yet, I will tell you tomorrow. Any more help would be great!

Possible game corruption? Have you verified the game cache in steam?

I tried that and it found a problem and fixed it, now the pop up and missing textures are fixed! It still crashes however, this last time it said the display driver stopped working and recovered... odd. I put it back in DX11 mode since the texure fix, I will try it in DX9 now.
