Nay $365 is too expensive considering Zen 4 is out. The cache cannot overclock the lower clocks and its mainly for gaming only....

The problem is that any 3d cache version can not be very cheap because it is so much more expensive to produce...
But if you mainly game. 5800x3d is very, very good option! But it never will be really cheap.

The problem is that zen4 will be faster in everything. So unless you have an old CPU and wants to just upgrade it, the. It makes sense to buy 5800x3d.

Based on leak... Zen4 is not faster in games... But yeah. If you are planning new computer, no point on going back.

Based on AMD's own numbers actually, yes it is faster, in everything.

Zen 4 is going to cost a lot more when you consider the overall platform costs. DDR5 often can cost twice as much as DDR4, for the same capacity. Boards are going to be pricey too. It would be cheaper to build a 5800x3d system, than what it would cost to build even a 7600x system. The 7600x would be slightly faster, in gaming, but from a price/performance standpoint, not fast enough for the added cost, and the growing pains, of a new platform. Even 12th gen is a bit wonky, with DDR5, still. Just because something shiny and new is coming, doesn't make what is currently available obsolete.
