LaCie 19 " CRT Monitor

Hi all,

I would buy next week a 19" electronblue LaCie CRT Monitor.

I think that have a Mitsubishi Diamondtron tube inside (like Mitsubishi 930SB model). All stores says me that is a profesional monitor (more Mac stores than regular PC).

Dark blue cabinet, 1600x1200@85hz and 1280x1024@100hz, 2 Superbright modes, , adjust of any geometry like (size and position, tilt/rotation, convergence H/V, lineality in 4 corners, purity color, %reduce moire, conc/convex, paralel sides... (all like mitsubishi 930SB).

Any comments, users, reviews or opinions here about this monitor?

sounds like my monitor, not the same brand but VERY SIMILAR technologys

i have a philips 109p4 monitor, it uses the same type of screen (it migth even be the same tube i dunno)

it does the same refresh rates and resolutions, i have mine set on 1600x1200 at 80Hz and it is very nice.

all the adjustments sound the same as mine (i have used them all LOL)

as for superbright modes, USELESS. i don't recomend them

A) they wear down the monitor

B) they bung your eyeballs

C) your colours will not be acurate to international printing standards (as i have mine adjusted too LOL ha ha ha)



anyway you may find two horizontal lines across your screen, these are normal don't worry about them.

oh p.s. is it a flat screen CRT or a standard curvy one?


anyway if you think it looks nice then i would get it, but i havn't got experience with that particular model, just similar ones (if adjusted correctly they should all be similar)

Is an aperture grid (2 horizontal lines) flat panel made by Mitsubishi named Diamondpro (see review at Toms displays of an 22" Mitsubishi monitor. I think that Phillips don't have it and a lot of monitors have this resolutions and suport modes.

well my philips (probably NOT using a mitsubishi tube) uses the same technology

its the same thing as a mitsubishi dimatron, a sony trinatron, and i don't know what pilips calls it, but its an aperture grill tube and has 2 lines across it.

its the same technology but from different manufacturers, i suggest you go to a store and have a look at them
