Question Lacie Rugged RAID external drive - bus powered

Hello,

I know they say it is bus powered via thunderbolt. But will a non-thunderbolt USB3 port be able to power it without external power supply?

Usb3 is limited to 4.5w of power delivery but you may actually have a usb 3.1 gen 2 which can deliver 9w or even a usb3.1 gen2 type c which can deliver 18w.

I would assume you will be fine with USB power. The drive came with a usb cable after all so this was an intended use.
