Lack of low-end in on-board audio

So I built my first PC last month and almost everything went flawlessly. It's all up and running smoothly and, besides a few driver updates, was ready to use only ~30 minutes after installing Windows 10.

One of the few problems I am finding now is that the audio has very little bass-- it's listenable, but as a guy who's really into good audio it is quite annoying.

I tried installing the latest Realtek drivers with no luck. I also messed with some settings still with no avail.

So does anyone know any fixes for this issue?

Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600
GTX 1050 Ti
8gb of 2400mhz DDR4 memory (will upgrade later)
ASRock B350m Pro4
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb

p.s. The reason I posted this in the Windows 10 forum is because my previous laptop had Windows 7 installed and this was not an issue at all.

You do have a basic understanding of the laws of physics, don't you? In order to reproduce bass notes you will need a pair of speakers that have at least 5" drivers, at the minimum. If you buy a pair of speakers with just 4" drivers, an equalizer can help tweek a little bass out of them, but not much. Also, in order to reproduce real bass moving sound, you will need an external amplifier, a built in amp can reproduce nice sound but not deep bass moving sound. The choice is all yours how on far you want to go.
You don't have an EQ to boost the low end in the software? I am going to guess you are using speakers you already had and sounded differently? Are they in the same location as before? Moving a sub around can have a big impact on the sound.

If all is the same, you can get an add-on sound card and check it again.

Most of the time I am using Spotify and to my knowledge there is no equalizer like iTunes has. I am not using speakers right now but later on I will try to set up a decent 2.1 system.

I will probably just end up getting a sound card as it will offer more features and have better audio quality than the on board audio.

Probably not. You need speakers to produce sound.

Not using speakers? Headphones? Or just the tiny speaker in the PC case? Of course with no real speakers you won't have any bass.
