Hello
So about 8 months ago, I managed to buy myself a new GPU (Asus GTX950 strix OC 2GB) because my previous one was too old to run anything new. My CPU is an i5-2300 (2.8 GHZ up to 3.1), it is quite old but I thought it should still handle most of the current existing games. But things didn't went well after I installed the GPU. Not in every single game I've played but few of the ones that are pretty new. My PC begun to have serious stuttering/lags issues (the stuttering is like the FPS displayed it's stable on 60 FPS, but the game felt like the frames are skipping and is very not smooth) while gaming in 2015 Need For Speed,The Crew and GTAV (But weirdly it can be running fine with NFS Rivals, NFS MW'12, World of warships and few other games) since then and still happening now. At first, I tuned some graphic settings of both games, thought it could be the resolution or the texture, shadow, rendering,...'s problem (Had tried turning everything to low, Vsync on and off, target FPS to 30/60, pretty much everything I can do with the in game setting options). Then I thought it could be the driver of the GPU that had caused issues during the installation. so I reinstalled it. but nothing effects. After that I managed to reinstall my entire Windows, but still nothing changed. So I thought it could be optimizing problem. Got Advanced System Core right after accomplished installing my windows, optimized my PC while updating all my drivers (like all my chip set drivers) to the newest versions, but it didn't helped a bit as well. I also went to my Nvdia control panel and did further tuning with my GPU, but the result is still the same. After doing all these stuffs, I also tried turning my PC to maximum power usage, OC my GPU with MSI afterburner, putting the game on to high priority in Task Manager, using Msconfig to turn off everything running in the background/ during start up, changing thermal of my CPU, defrag my HDD and pretty much everything I can do with my knowledge. While both games are running, the CPU temp is around 55~60 degrees, 60 ~ 70% usage, while the GPU temp is around 60 ~ 70 degrees, 70~80% usage. I tested the CPU, GPU, MoBo, HDD, RAM, and they are all in 100% performance condition. My Internet is stable running at 100MBS, so I don't really think that's the problem too. I had scanned the entire PC with multiple Antivirus' softwares, but it shows 0 malwares or anything that would harm my PC. I had checked other people with the same spec as mines on the Internet, and they have no problem running the above games I had mentioned with med ~ high graphics in 60 FPS. I really need help with this issue, as it had been bugging me for months. If someone can assist me, I would be really appreciated!
