So for the years that I have had my pc this issue had been occurring but never addressed. I don't think it is a software issue I have reinstalled windows many times with this issue not changing at all.
Basically at random points in games I will experience short "lag" spikes. These being split seconds in games where the screen freezes and stutters, it turns into a slide show for half a second and in competitive games this gets me killed and annoys me to no end. It happens and ends too soon for the fps counters to really pick anything up and the same for performance graphs the performance graphs shown by driver software or in windows task manager show no significant changes to either the hard drive, cpu, gpu or internet while this occurs, However if I display a built in performance graph in a game such as battlefield (Has an in-game performance graph to help the dev's troubleshoot) while this occurs the graph in game shows both the cpu and gpu usage skyrocketing through the roof of the graph.
So basically windows cant detect any problems but games can? or am I missing something?
Now what I noticed is that this only happens if any browsers have been opened this being open while in game or if they were closed before starting the game. The only way to currently combat this is to restart my system and not open any browsers when I want to play games. Which given that some games require startup to be initiated on a website in a browser or that in a tournament you have to sign in via a internet page. This is not ideal.
Let me clarify, my computer is and has always been perfectly adequate for the games I play and the settings that I play at.
The system is not struggling in any way and temperatures are fine.
This happens in any full screen game from the performance demands or solitaire to crysis and sometimes even in browsers themselves although this is hard to detect.
I can upload a video displaying the issue if required and can also post my computer details if needed, however the parts shouldn't be the issue.
