Lag In Games?

So its been about a year since ive gotten my computer. Its not much of a computer, but i was looking to upgrade the gpu. Anyway, the cpu is an a10-5800k. ive been using the default thermal paste applied to the default cooler. I was wondering if this was affecting my performance?
To be specific in the game i notice it most it, is CSGO. I was playing mirage and usually i get 100fps, but it spiked down to 40fps, and went back up in some areas. Also happened on other maps.

what gpu are you using?

if its none i would definitely pick up a 1050 ti because you should have everything you need for it

im using the apu on the a10. i might be getting a gpu like i said for black friday, maybe a 750, and i always also thinking about the 1050.
