Lag, Old monitor, stuttering

Hello, i have a problem with my fps when i game. I have a 1070gtx and i5 6600k but i have 7 years old monitor. In PUBG i get like 100fps but it feels like its stuttering all the time. Is it caused by the monitor or by a problem in my PC?

You need to limit (cap) your frame rate so it matches your refresh rate. Otherwise you will have dropped frames when your monitor can't keep up with your video card.

Dropped frames would look like stuttering.
