Lag on Games even though good PC

I only play Source games, but I get a lot of lag now (20-60 fps) and I even tried playing Minecraft on the lowest settings possible but it still lagged. I play TF2 on lowest settings and that still lags!
Specs:
OS: Windows 7 (64-Bit)
GPU: ASUS STRIX 970
CPU: Haswell 4790k 4.0 GHz
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Killer
Memory: 16 GB of DDR3 RAM

*RealTemp temperature says my computer heat is 90-100 degrees Celsius, how can I lower that?

if your CPU is 90 then your experiencing throttling, its the way the cpu is protecting itself from burning up and going dead on you.
1. stop playing games immediately.
2. check your CPU fan/cooler that it actually is working
3. you may have to replace the thermal past between heatsink and CPU.

Okay, the fan works, and I replaced the thermal paste, I'm now getting (Core Temp) ~80-85 degrees Celsius and 95-100 in game, is that okay?

how much of the heatsink paste did you put?
are you overclocking your system right now ?

Okay, so I figured out I put too much, then too little, then just right and it works now.
