It's been a while since my pc display driver crashes on startup, has lag and freezes and it fixes with a couple of restarts. I clean installed my GPU driver, windows no luck.
I saw that this problem occurs most of the time when my pc boots and doesn't appear the GIGABYTE logo after I power my pc on. When I start it up and the GIGABYTE logo shows up seems to boot fine, but sometimes it appears sometimes doesn't.
This pc is like 2-3 years old components haven't got a problem with them ever and i've been running with this issue like a couple of months but i didn't have the time to send it to IT as it fixed with 2-3 restarts (strange)
Operating System
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz
RAM
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z97M-DS3H (SOCKET 0)
Graphics
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (Gigabyte) 41 °C
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD1003FZEX-00MK2A0 (SATA)
(those are from speccy)
I tried swapping the RAM slot same result, even tried with another one.
Clean install of driver, even older versions, same.
Underclocked the gpu from msi afterburner same result.
I asked a tech friend and he said maybe my HDD it's faulty but i don't have another one to check with.
