Hi guys

So for example when im on photoshop/lightroom and I click onto a new picture/tab my mouse cursor moves like its switched back to 60hz as opposed to 144hz

It doesn't just happen on these programs

Im not saying it is the refresh rate... its more like its struggling to load the new thing ive brought onto the screen. But i dont know.

Solution
Hardware wise, your build looks good and i see little reason why hardware would be in fault. Only reason would be the HDDs you are using, where due to their age or usage, their performance will drop and it has dropped to the noticeable level. HDD defragmentation would fix that. But if HDD defrag doesn't help either, then new drive is only option.

Back in the day, when i too had HDDs, i used MyDefrag v4.3.1 to keep them healty,
link: http://mydefrag.en.lo4d.com/
guide on how to use it: http://sctech.weebly.com/mydefrag.html

Nowadays, i only have M.2 NVMe and 2.5" SATA SSDs in my PCs. And there is no need to defrag SSDs. Defraging SSD will actually hurt it.

Though,
PSU : CORSAIR VS 550

This is a terrible PSU...

I got:
That page doesn't exist
The requested page was not found.

Type out your system specs manually, including PSU make and model (or part number).

But without sys specs, your issue looks like you have too little free RAM available. And it takes some time for PC to clear RAM and write new data on it. Hence the loading time.

Can post a link to a run with Userbenchmark as well, it also gives system info or the next way,

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "Summary for Clipboard",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
copy by clicking "copy to clipboard" and rightclick+paste in your next respons

the psu info still needs to be added.

This is a terrible PSU to use. Worst of the worst sold by Corsair. This, VS-series, shouldn't be sold at all. It's that bad.

Now, PSUs, usually, doesn't cause longer loading times. But in the slightest chance, especially how bad of a PSU it is, i'd be replacing it ASAP. Even if your loading issues aren't to do with PSU, any further use of this PSU has a high chance that the PSU will die and take some or all of the components with it.

Good PSUs to look for are: Seasonic Focus+ or PRIME series, in 650W range. But if you prefer Corsair, then RMi, RMx or HX series.
(All 3 of my PCs are also powered by Seasonic, full specs with pics in my sig.)

---

As far as loading issues go, i think it's to do with software issues. Since it is very difficult to find out what causes those issues (it's like looking a needle in a haystack), best would be doing clean Win install. This gets rid of all and any software issues you may have (including malware).

Thanks a lot for that information, i will defrag hdds and look at new PSU's. I have used this PSU for a good 4 years though

Also... Photoshop is actually installed on my SSD
