So i just got my self a new asus strix gtx 1070 gpu and this replaced my SLI gtx 970 (past few days been running single gtx 970)

with my SINGLE gtx 970 i was getting 150+ fps in wow and about 100 - 120 fps in overwatch @144 hz and 1080p

I installed my new gtx 1070, did a clean install of windows - installed drivers etc
my pc feels slower, like start up etc i just feel like my pc took a few steps back instead of ahead.

I don't know if this has something todo with my mobo / cpu or w/e but
im getting 40 - 60 fps in Overwatch with my 1070 and 50 fps in wow.
When ever i move my camera in wow with my mouse, i get insta lag spikes and fps drops to like 2.......

soooo what shall i do? any suggestions? this is really annoying me atm.

Current specs are:
Intel Core i7-6700K - Skylake 4 Ghz
Asus strix GeForce GTX 1070 8gb
Kingston 32 GB RAM f.1600 MHz
ASUS LGA1151 ROG MAXIMUS VIII RANGER
Cm hyper 212 evo cooler
Benq XL2720Z 144 Hz x 3
Ssd 250 x 4
Hdd 1tb x 1
Psu : 700w
Windows 10 64 bit

Solution
I tried your solution but still no luck.

Moving on, I solved the problem by downgrading the driver by an older version (last working stable 368.39)

I can play Black flag with all max settings except the physx on low. steady @ 60fps

GTX 1070 Zotac Amp Edition
240gb Zotac SSD
i5 4th gen
1TB HDD
620watts Seasonic bronze
8gb hyperx ddr3 (single)
well essentially, i reinstalled windows, and disabled my internet.

When you have windows 10, it downloads drivers it self, which you dont want.

I pre downloaded driver installer for nvidia, chose custom, and only picked "drivers & experience program"

After i installed that, i ran the updates to windows.

After all this, you have to right click, on screen, pick nvidia

go under administrate 3d settings

there is an option called " V-sync" it will by default be on 3d, with 1070, you gotta disable that.

This fixed all my problems, running with great fps now.

Hi, i tried do that, but still low fps on the games 🙁 any other solution?

I have same problem. But with Gigabyte Gaming G1 gtx 1070. Psu is CoolerMaster 600W, 8Gb DDR4 2666Mhz and i5 6500 cpu..
NFS fps drops to 30fps sometimes, Witcher 3 too, can not get past 40fps in Novigrad..

Just got this card and I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled like 5 times even tried DDU in safemode with a reinstall of the drivers no budge on this thing... My CSGO is lagging in the menu it's ridiculous it feels like mouse lag I load up a game and I'm hitting 100 fps and on overwatch I'm getting drops as low as 120 on low settings

have the same problem.

switched from a amd radeon hd 7950 to a 1070 g1 gaming... did the driver install by uninstalling amd drivers per system control and the cleaned everything with ddu in safe mode ( option for " installing new graphics card") and shut down pc. plugged 1070 in-> installed nvidia 372.70 driver....

cpu is a 6700k @ 4.8 ghz and 16gb of ddr4 Ram @ 3ghz

35-45 fps in the tutorial tavern in witcher 3.... cpuload 40% gpu load 60%
50 fps in bf1 beta on medium settings + 42% renderscale cpu load 80% gpu load 50-60%

everything in 1080p

only warhammer 40k total war runs smoothly with much higher fps than my 7950 could deliver. ~65 on campaign map. everything on ultra..

did you follow the steps,
