I used to play GTA V smoothly on my gaming laptop at almost 50fps on high settings. But recently it started running very slowly with lag spikes, low fps and poor texture streaming. It exhibits the same behavior in most of other games I play too. My laptop specs are Intel core i5 4210h, 12gb ram, 1tb hard drive and GTX 960m.
I have tried to fix this issue by:
Formatting my windows and re-installing it
Completely uninstalling my drivers with DDU and reinstalling updated ones
Cleaning the fan, heat sink and heat vent and also applying thermal paste on my pc.
I have done all those and the issue still lingers, please help.
