Lag spikes when gaming

I get constant lag spikes when gaming on my new computer (its more than capable of playing them) here are my specs:
CPU:intel Core i54670K 3.40GHz @ 3.4 GHz
RAM:8GB System RAM
GPU:AMD Radeon HD 7950 overclocked
Operating system: windows 7 home premium sp1

I also save my games on to a Western Digital WD Blue WD10JPVX 1TB but have a Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD
