Lag when fullscreen borederless and windowed.

UPDATE: I have fixed my problem I had this program called overwolf that ran over all my games and my GPU gave it priority over my games. Once I have uninstalled this I constantly get the same frames in windowed broderless that I have been having. Thanks for all the help!


I have recently noticed lots of lag when I am in fullscreen borderless on every game I have. This problem has just started and earlier I was playing just fine In fullscreen borderless with no issues at all. I have looked on many sites and nothing has worked like disabling arrow and stuff. My setup is 2 monitors one 75hz and one 60hz on a gtx 960 and an i7 6700.

Try setting the one with 75hz to 60hz. That should probably fix the lag.

Also, is your fps constantly dropping to like in the 30s or 20s? You might need to get a faster monitor or a better gpu.

I have tried setting my main monitor to 60hz like the other and it didn't help also my setup has been working fine it's just recently that it started lagging in full screen borderless

Were you using borderless windowed mode before? Borderless windowed mode creates latency in the same way triple buffering and FPS equaling your refresh rate does.

Yes I have been use borderless windowed before this happened

No I haven't changed anything just woke up one day and it was like this
