Hello guys/gals

I recently installed a new mobo (Asus Formula Z) and a new gpu to crossfire with my existing GPU. Ever since i have enabled this it has been lagging on games that would previously run fine without crossfire. I have tried updating the drivers the only thing i haven't done is do a fresh install of windows which i am considering.

Specs

AMD FX8150 (recently had to borrow i used to have a fx 6300 plan on upgrading to a fx8350)
Dual R9 270x
2x monitors for gaming the other runs for stuff like reddit resoultion is 1680x1050
1 SSD 120gb
1 2TB HDD
8GB 1600mhz Memory

Solution
you got support for the 9590 and 9370 so i would go that direction rather than messing with overclocking since amd cherry picks all the good chips for them anyway.
I know youll mention CPU limit but arma 3 on medium settings, War Thunder on high and RTS such as wargame. On all these games before i had crossfire they ran fine but now lag to hell. My friend also has a similar setup to what i used to 1 R9 270x and a fx 6300 and he gets less lag on these games

I guess if you use high shadows in Arma 3 it shifts more load onto your gpu's.

Hmm.. maybe try some different drivers.

I would not think it would be such a huge cpu problem but the shift in architecture from a 81xx to a 83xx may be exactly what you need.

Fixed! Looks like it was bad drivers. I reinstalled the OS and am getting massive frame rate increases's the os had been through two mobo changes and gpu changes so thats probably why it was messed up and slow. anyway fixed now thanks for your help and yeah i was considering that chip but alot of people recommended against them dont know why, I should be fine because my system is watercooled
