Lagging on i5 6500k and GTX 970.

I’ve got a problem with FPS in games (like R6S, BF3, BF4, BF1, Fortnite, PayDay 2 etc.). I’ve got only 7-23 FPS. On ultra, High, medium, low graphics preferences is the same problem, nothing changed. In normal resolution 1920x1080 16:9 in window I’ve got a 20-35 FPS. I’ve got lagging in desktop and Chrome too.

Temperatures are good. 60-70% of CPU power in games. Please help!

make sure you are NOT connecting the monitor to the motherboard

the monitor MUST be connected to the 970 DIRECTLY

then make sure your cpu is not overheating


and since you have a MSI motherboard make sure you have not turned on the slow button making your cpu get stuck at super low speeds
