I think it's cheaper to purchase a second, third or even forth cheap monitor if you want to monitor your PC telemetry.

All these screens on PC devices are starting to become a plague, and it adds nothing to the cooling performance besides price and bling.

I'm not sure if cheaper is the right word.
I bought a USB telemetry monitor very similar to what's being used here from Ali-Express, and it was like $17. It might suck; I haven't tried it yet. But in the very least I can put it somewhere useful. Building a screen into a CPU cooler is inconvenient to the point of being useless.

Someday I'll find the right replacement for my Logitech G15 - but so far nothing comes close.

Yeah, you can buy 3.5"~5" monitor for $30~50. They might only have a 320p to 480p resolution, but you aren't limited to having it inside the PC case.

Lamptron still isn't dead yet? I'm quite surprised. They used to make and sell a fair number of fan, audio, and novelty controllers and mod tools for PC building in the early 00s, but last I recall they just started selling rebranded stuff one can buy off Aliexpress for cheaper.

I wonder who the OEM for this cooler is; it looks almost like an ALSEYE just with a screen slapped on top.

The trouble (or rather one of many troubles) with all these hardware monitoring screens that connect as an additional monitor is that despite it being 2024 Windows still has issues with multi monitor setups. It's getting better, but it's still bound to cause headaches. I have a weird super cheap Chinese thing (usually marketed as "Turing smart screen") that just connects as a serial device over USB - it's more limited than one of the traditional "it's just a monitor" devices but it's also a lot less troublesome, only requires one cable, doesn't take up a display connection on the GPU, and can be easily mounted internally or externally so you don't have to peer awkwardly into your case to read it.

I realize it's hip to jump on the LCD bandwagon and put a screen on everything but this is just getting stupid.

I can't imagine a worse place to put a screen than on one of highest sources of HEAT on your workstation - right on top of a CPU cooler. That and I am not going to have my personal attention fixated on my CPU cooler but rather on actually using my machine

I got this from Lamptron as a review sample, it didnt have all the parts needed for the coolers installation, no guide, the screen is actually 1440p 60hz not 1080P, cherry on top the AIDA64 code was pirated, and had to buy it myself. Temps are not as good as I thought about 80c on full load with rad pbo2 tuner settings.

Misleading title. Unless the iPhone 15 shrunk in the wash, I am pretty sure the screen on the iPhone 15 is a lot larger than six inches measured diagonally.
