I have a desktop that is wired to the router directly. There are two cell phones in the house that connect through wireless and a laptop that connects through wireless. I have verizon FIOS connected straight to a netgear WGR614 v6 router. The router has its most up to date firmware.
Both cell phones and the desktop connect fine and can use them simultaneously. Speed tests show good speed to each as well. Now, when we connect our MacBook Air, the wireless on the cell phones and the LAN to the desktop no longer have internet connectivity.cell phones are both iphones. All i have to do is unplug the power to the router for a couple minutes and then plug it back in and the cell phones and desktop are back in business again (until the Mac connects again).
Do you guys think this is a function of the router or the Mac Air? What else could it be?
