Hey

So the other day i had a sparkie around to install a LAN port in the wall of my office/bedroom. As i was overseas on a emergency trip, i tasked my wife with the task of explicitly stating to the sparkie that a LAN port was wanted.

And yet, a phone line was installed...

What options do i have that will allow me too utilize the phone line or another option that's let me use a lan connection.

Thanks.

If it is an RJ11 telephone network and 4 wires has been used, you might be able to do some hack by connecting two RJ11 to RJ45 cables (custom made) at both ends. But Since telephone wires' twists are (maybe not at all) different by the Cat5e or Cat6 cables used for networking, It would suffer with the magnetic field interference.
