Lan not working on New build Please help

I built a system the other night and the WIFI Works but the Ethernet does not.
I have spent a few hours on this already

motherboard ASUS STRIX Z370e

The onboard WIFI Works fine but when I connect the Ethernet cord it does not connect to the internet. it shows that there is something connected and has Identifying and finishes with no internet. there is activity lights on the Port

I have tried:
uninstalling LAN driver
reinstalling latest Intel driver
installing older Intel driver
Installing LAN driver on motherboard website
Going onto the router and creating a reserved IP Address with the mac address and setting static IP.
Please help

Are you connecting the cable to a router?
Have you try connecting another device using the same cable and port?
Try another Ethernet cable.

I know it is not the port or cable. I changed the port with the same issue and I plugged it into my Laptop and had no issue.

do you see on the monitor any response to a lan cable and dont have internet connection only?
had you try to enable the lan adapter via devices manager?

It changes when I plug a cable in and sits at identifying for a min before saying no connection.
The port is enabled in windows and in the Bios.
