Lan Partys in teh UK

Im basicly interested in any UK lan partys, at which i would be able to help out.

Im not bothered about playing games as such, i just love setting stuff up, tweaking, making things (computers) run smoothly. So is there any Lan partys in the UK, especially in the west midlands area, (but i will travel by train) which i could come along to and help out?

I know there is the big ones, like the Igames series, but they dont generally let in someone, with no previous knowledge of a lanparty. (Working in a computer lan gaming center for 2 years isn't enuf appently ?)

So basicly im on the look out, trying to get some (unpaid generally) work, Helping set up etc.
