[SOLVED] LAN to LAN or WAN to LAN

So I have this problem with my network when someone watches youtube my network ms/ping is high.
I have a router and modem combo from the company. I want to resolve this problem, and got a new router that I want to connect to the (combo router).
So on the combo router, my family connects and I connect on my new router.
But I don't know do I connect them (LAN to Lan) or (Wan to Lan) or (Wan to Wan).
Please help.

Just a switch would have done but the bandwidth provided to the premises won't change being on a different router or switch and nor will latency improve.

What do you mean by channels? Bandwidth, including latency, ends at the house's primary internet connection. Unless you get your own internet connection (ISP+modem/router), there's no way of improving it.
