So I dont have any other DVD's to find out and its hard to get some.

The DVD doesnt have many scratches on it, its in better condition than most of my DVD's and worse ones usually work

I messed around with my DVD drive with a knife cause it wouldn't open cause I lost the outer case.

When I load it up (the DVD is window 10) it gets to the windows screen and even the select time zone, but then says it cant detect the files to install

So is it my DVD or my DVD player?

Perhaps you could use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to create a bootable Windows installation USB drive so you wouldn't need the DVD? Also, the Windows installer likes to have the computer connected to the internet via ethernet at installation time; can you do that?
