Laptop -> 120HZ Monitor

Hi, I might need a little bit help from the pro's!

A got a question regarding laptop -> 120hz monitor.

A friend of mine found 2 laptops, that seems really good (i7, GTX 1050TI etc, if that matters).

But..


The first one only got HDMI slots, and the second has HDMI + Mini displayport slots.

I guess I'm forced to for the one with mdp to be able to play games and such with 100/120hz? Right?

If I rememeber correctly the HDMI still only delivers 60hz(?)


And if so, what other cabels do I need for it to work properly with mdp?

No, HDMI 1.4b can do 120hz. Play on my TV at 120hz all the time with HDMI and a old AMD card.
