Okay so I am looking to purchase 2, 24" monitors soon and I have a 5650 AMD in my laptop... It says that 5650 supports eyefinity.. Can I just disable my internal laptop display and use the amds HDMI+VGA for dual monitor support? Or do I have to buy a displayport dongle? And if I do have to buy one which one is it because it shows on the AMD FAQ site that there is a bunch of different kinds and I'm not sure which ones to get... http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx

using only 2 screens you do NOT require any to be display port. you can use HDMI+VGA.

You can use your first 2 screens as any connection.

NOTE you have a 5650M (Mobile version) are you sure AMD specifically lists the MOBILE 5650M as eyefinity compatible? or is it just the desktop version.

laptop graphics cards are generally stripped of all of these extra features to save space, heat and power draw.

i dont know why you would eyefinity with 2 screens, the middle of ur display area will be all bezzel.

Well, if thats the case.. Can I just do extend? I want to have a main display on one of the monitors, and extend the display to the other then.. Would that be possible? Im not looking to game, I just play poker and would like to have all my tables lined up, and maybe browse the web and have my other monitor while watching a movie etc..
