Hi everyone,

I have an ASUS Notebook running Windows 8.1 (i7 processor, 8gb RAM) and for some reason, whenever I'm doing something like playing Minecraft or playing multiple YouTube videos, my computer can't decide whether or not it's plugged in (spoiler: it's plugged in) and thus alternates between the Power4Gear Battery Saving mode and the Power4Gear High Performance mode every second or so, causing my screen to flicker and my fps to vary like crazy.

I don't know how to change my settings to make my computer stay on one mode or the other, but more importantly I don't know why it doesn't think it's getting a charge every other second. I've had this problem for months now and if anyone can help me out, I'm appreciate it so so much.

I have only seen this once. The lappy in question had a power cord with contacts that were going south. Even though it seemed like there was no movement, contact was being made and broken. Had to replace the PSU.

That type of thing could happen at the laptop jack or at the outlet, or even the transformer in between. That's where I would start.
