Whenever I try to play games, usually after a short time it either freezes with lines/bars all across the screen and plays a buzzing noise and I have to manually turn it off and on, or it just turns off and restarts(although the former occurs much more often than the latter).
Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M
16GB of RAM(Originally had 8, but added some)
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Samsung SSD 840 Series
(not sure what else to put, as I don't know that much)
If it helps, I used Prime95 and it froze while I ran the in-place large FFT test and the Blend test. I also used Furmark and it did not get even near 5 minutes before freezing up. Whenever I run these tests, my CPU temp usually hovers around 70-75 degrees.
Do you think the freezing/restarting might be a problem with my PSU?
I've read many other similar posts about this problem, but I haven't found something that has helped me.
Help would be very much appreciated.
