Laptop and lcd

Hello,
i have laptop dell inspiron 5010 and i want to connect it to lcd can you help pl-ze

You need an LCD monitor or an LCD PC/TV which can be used as a monitor.
Buy a standard VGA monitor cable.

Turn off your laptop.

Connect one end of the cable to the VGA port on your Dell (usually it's at the back).
Connect the other end to the monitor.

Turn on your laptop.

though you may need to enable external display in your bios

or use the fn button to toggle between internal and external screens

usually something like fn+f4 or fn+f5

After looking at the specs for this laptop, it would seem that the only external display option is via an HDMI connection. Meaning you need an HDMI cable, and an monitor with an HDMI input. Once you have the required thing(s), simply plug it into the external display, and turn it on. Windows should automatically detect that another display has been connected, though it may not show a picture on it automatically. If it does not show anything on the new screen, then do this.
Go to desktop
Right click>Screen resolution>detect>(if it shows two screens) extend or duplicate these displays>click apply

Done.
