so my monitor broke it was a hp1907 and im not going to get a new in 3 months time
i have a fully functional laptop and was wondering if i could use it as a monitor without downloading any kiind of software just the hardware

No.
Laptops don't have video INPUTS.
You could use built in remote software (Remote Desktop Connection - mstsc.exe) to remotely connect to the desktop. But that may need to be enabled because i'm pretty sure that's disabled by default.
