PC with AsusTek Micro H81M-K motherboard has a temperature of 119 ºC. That is pretty hot.

I am looking at purchasing this used PC and I wonder about the temperature of the motherboard. What should the temperature of a laptop motherboard? should I purchased ?

CPU : Intel Core i3 4170 @ 3.70 GHz
RAM : 8 Go Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

Solution

That thing is massively overheating so there has to be an issue with the cooling.

1. there is dust and like a lot of it
2. the thermal paste has dried up
3. the fan is broken
4. the cooler is broken

I ranked the scenario's from bad to terrible.

That's not a laptop mobo and that's not a laptop cpu. Is this really a laptop?

It's likely it's not actually at that temp as it would shut off. There's a lot of these threads and every time, they are using third party software that isn't reading the mobo correctly. Mobos sensors are not standardized like cpu and gpu and it should be checked with the mobo software itself.

I tried to post a picture earlier but the system seems to want only a link.
Here is the link:https://www.lespac.com/quebec/informatique-ordinateurs/ordinateur-de-bureau-faites-vos-offres_50751319D0.jsa

I've seen a result like that in the past but I don't remember which software.
