Laptop audio problem

First of all I have an Acer VN7 591G (Black Nitro). When I first got it and when I plugged my headphones into my laptop I got some audio options, such as headset, headphones and so on. Depending on which one I picked It got rid of a static white noise I was experiencing. But at the time I did not know that, so I clicked (do this one automatically) and now that option does not come up anymore. I would like to know how to get the audio option thing pop up every time I insert my headset into the jack.

oh i did this too . any way to fix this just go into the start menu and click on the little arrow at the bottom and scroll until you find HD audio manager. then when the menu opens click on the black hole to your right under ANALOG until it opens up the window for you to choose your headphones or mic from. Hope this helps
