Laptop battery draning suddenly.

I have a HP laptop which is 13 months old. Laptop is discharging suddenly once it reaches 65% battery. Earlier the same problem happened on 30% then 40% and moved on to 65%.
If I charge my laptop to a level less then 65% it works fine. Is some thing wrong with battery?
My laptop is covered under extended warranty. Is battery also covered under extended warranty?

where did you buy it from?

AFAIK batteries are rarely covered in extended warranty
