Laptop Battery Issue

I purchased this laptop almost 4 years ago i think.
Its the dell inspiron 15 3521.

Its battery doesnt last much now like its 100% and after 1 hour or even less its 0%.

I think after 4 years the battery needs to be replaced because it recharge cycles are complete ?

It should give you an idea of battery degradation. If its not lasting more than an hour though I'd look at a replacement, should set you back roughly $40 dollars ish.

Edit: oh and laptop battery expectancy is roughly 2-4 years (based on number of charges).

Yeah replacement is probably the best call, a laptop that doesn't last when not plugged in to the wall has basically become a poor quality desktop...

Your backup battery is drain now it can't hold a current in maximum level, it will dropping once you load the OS and the programs in a few seconds, and this will cause your HDD to create a failure and one of the cause why you mainboard got failures also.

When buying a replacement, try to use a Genuine Dell. They are more expensive, but the Chinese knockoffs don't last very long and sometimes don't supply their advertised amp/hrs. A weak battery or charger will cause the processor to run at half speed.
