Laptop Battery Replacement

Hi Friends,

I've got an older Dell Inspiron n4050 that I need a new battery for.

My question - should I be purchasing a battery from Dell or are the other brands any good? I'm looking on Amazon and seeing "NinjaBatt" for much less.

Any help is appreciated.

It really is a bit of a crap shoot as far as third-party aftermarket replacement batteries go.

Some are as good, some are better than, and some are worse than the OEM battery.

It's worth looking at buyer reviews as well as whether the battery might have more cells than the original battery, with a higher mAh rating, which generally means you will get more "off charger" time out of it.
