well, on the Lenovo website it says urgent bios update, but I will say the laptop is running great.
 
Read the release notes for that BIOS update. If it fixes security holes (especially the processor exploits) then go ahead. Just make sure to read and understand the instructions before you start. Otherwise just continue as before. Too many people have bricked their systems with unnecessary update attempts.

the bios was already updated for the intel security issues. are you sure?
