[SOLVED] Laptop black screen after installing RAM

I was trying to install RAM on my laptop. It has the same specs as the one pre-built in my system. I made sure to ground myself before doing anything to it. I'm not sure if I installed it properly but I watched a guide on youtube and exactly followed what he did. After putting the cover back on I tried to turn on my laptop but it only showed me a black screen. It was heating up too...

Also, when I removed the RAM my laptop turned on properly again.

What's the problem and how should I fix it? TIA

Did you clean the RAM stick's copper contacts?

Remove and install the RAM sticks a couple of times to see if it works.

You should use cotton-swap and alcohol to clean the copper contacts.

But your RAM sticks could have been DOA as well.
