Question Laptop boots for 1 second, then shuts down ?

Hi guys

I was using my Huawei Matebook X Pro (2022) when it suddenly turned off (battery was at about 40%).

Now, when I press the start button, the laptop lights up, like it's going to start, but shuts down right away, after a split second. Nothing shows on the display, it's just the keyboard / plug lights.

This happens with or without the mains adapter connected.

I have opened the laptop and removed the SDD to see if a faulty drive was causing the problem. I checked the drive by putting it into an external case and the drive is fine. Even without the drive, the system won't boot - just the same light flashing.

Specs:
  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-10210U Prozessor, 1,6 GHz 4-Core
  • GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250
  • Display: 13.9”, 3K (3000 x 2000), IPS
  • HDD/SSD: 512 GB / 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD
  • RAM: 16 GB LPDDR3 2.133 MHz
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro
  • Battery: 57.4Wh, 57Wh, 4-cell

Any ideas what could cause this specific problem?

I really appreciate your help!

Update your post to include full laptop hardware specs and OS information.

The SSD being the boot ( C: ) drive - correct?

No other drives - correct?

Reinstall the boot drive and determine if the laptop will boot into Safe mode.

Any beep codes during boot up?

Yes

Correct!

The laptop won't boot when boot drive is in. It just flashes and turns off right away. So I can't start in Safe mode.

No beeps.

Does that help?

Thank you for your attention and your comment SkyNetRising. May I ask you what would make you think it's not another component failing? Just wondering...
