Laptop boots with black screen and backlight

I have an HP Pavilion 13 x360 s128nr notebook. I recently attempted to perform a RAM upgrade on it, but when I reassembled the laptop, it would boot and turn the LCD backlight on and even enter the OS (I know of this because I booted it, typed in my password, and heard it start skype) but the LCD will not display anything. Does anyone have ideas on how I can make it work again?
