My laptop currently has a 1TB SATA HDD. I am thinking about replacing my hard drive with an SSD and install my OS in it. Can I use an mSATA SSD as a cache, using Intel Smart Response Technology for my SSD with my OS in it? I am thinking about pairing an mSATA SSD with my SSD, as opposed to pairing my SSD with a SATA HDD. What do you guys think? Which is better for optimal performance? I'd appreciate any logical feedback. Thanks.

I think using a mSATA SSD as Cashe for a SSD is kind of pointless? Unless your getting like a High End mSATA that does like 500+ read and write while getting a low end SSD. But if you get like a Samsung EVO mSATA and a SSD its pointless since they do pretty much the same speed.

That my opinion. I'd either do just the SSD or the mSATA + HDD
