Hey Guys,

So basically my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X Laptop decided to start crashing. It started off with the laptop screen not turning on after I pressed the power button. I could sometimes get it working if I just restarted it with a hard shut down. This prompted the laptop to turn on, however it only worked after the laptop entered a screen which allowed me to enter a recovery key. Even when this was done the system would sometimes stop for 10 seconds, or just freeze permanantly. The laptop also sometimes blue screened.

Thank you very much for any help, unfortinately the laptop is past warrantly so just trying to see if I can get it up and running myself.

If the drive on the laptop has any sensitive data on it, remove the drive, drop in a spare drive and reinstall the OS in offline mode, then install all necessary drivers for your laptop in said offline mode. See if that helps. If the issue goes away after an OS reinstall then there was corruption on said OS/drive to begin with.

Moved thread from Laptop General Discussion section to Laptop Tech Support section.

Ok, I got another M.2 SSD and intalled Ubuntu on the system which seems to have fixed the problem. Just one more question, is there any way of me knowing whether it is the OS that's corrupted on the drive, or the drive itself is bad?

Much appreciated.

Well never mind I booted it up today and its the same story. Worked fine all day yesterday, even after turning on and off.
No blue screens or crashing.
Also still getting a pop up to reset fTPM.
