[SOLVED] Laptop cooling issue

Hi,
I am using ASUS ROG GL552VW (i5 6300HQ, GTX 960m, 16gb RAM).
my cpu idly gets above 10% like 15% and while I play HD videos in youtube cpu usasge for chrome goes sometimes 30% or above but total cpu usage goes more than 50%. Is it normal? My laptop is more than two years old and i never opened it.
And the temperature goes to 85 to 90 degree celsius when i play game (apex legends default settings).
Is it normal? What can i do to solve this problem.
would a cooling pad help?

Laptops normally run significantly hotter than their desktop cousins - space restrictions, yo. Those in game temps aren't excessive.

A cooling pad may help.

Try cleaning off the dust from your heatsink and re-applying the thermal paste and thermal pads if they are destroyed or missing. Try not to block the holes for the air passageway. Undervolting is also 100% efficient and safe and will for sure reduce the temperature and thus thermal throttling
