OK, so here's the deal. I'm tired of the gtx 765m in my laptop, and I want a desktop. Looking at my CPU (i7-4900mq), I would like to keep it. I saw this motherboard here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157659&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Server+Motherboards-_-N82E16813157659&gclid=Cj0KEQjwnMOwBRCAhp-ysqCwypkBEiQAeSy1-YhG1vVHT_G6CpjEfKJcZ-eAmb0EeQnU2uQjcc8APQAaAv5j8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds

And wanted to know if it would work. The CPU is on their supported list, and it looks pretty standard. What am I missing here?

Solution
Took a look at the PDF and they call out only the 4 pin as (4-pin ATX12V1). This is low-power consumption setup taking SO-DIMMs & mobile Haswell so maybe that is all the power it needs.

You do notice that the ram slots are laptop dimms, right? And the port you circled is about 1" long.... The VGA port is longer than that...

How would one go about using the dc power jack? Would that be enough juice for a graphics card, or would it burn out? I could mod a switch for an atx psu, for a 6 and 8 pin connector for the 970...
