Laptop cpu in desktop

I have an asus laptop with a i7 as cpu. Could I put the cpu from my laptop in a desktop? Because I am going to build a gaming pc. If I could use my laptop cpu in my desktop than I could save some couple of hunderd euro’s.

You can't do that because your laptop CPU uses a different socket compared to your desktop.

Isn’t there a motherboard that supports this kind of sockets?

From what I know, there are not.
Laptop CPUs are usually soldered onto the motherboard.
