I own a Gateway NV55S03u and it started to be slow. I noticed that it could do an upgrade to the CPU. So, I got an A8-3500m to replace the old A4 3300m. It all went fine and then I went to start it. It turned on but I got no video. No BIOS. Nothing. Just black. Before I did the swap, I did a BIOS update to the latest one. I tried to reset CMOS. Nothing worked. When it comes to compatibility, Gateway and Acer both used this motherboard with the A8. So good chances mine would too. All I need is some ideas.

Solution
There is nothing you can do unless you happened to have bent a pin of messed up a connector during the change and can fix that. If the CPU won't boot the system on the latest BIOS, it won't work in that system.
