Hi everyone,

I have had this problem for a while now. When I boot up my laptop, CPU temp hits 78 C degree and the cooling fan has to run at very high speed. Meanwhile GPU temp sits at 40 C Degree. After 5 minutes, CPU temp goes back to normal which is around 40 C Degree, the same as GPU temp. This problem didn't occur for a while at the time I bought the laptop.
I wonder if there are any problems with the CPU or Cooler or Windows setting
Hope anyone can help
My laptop specs

Model: Lenovo Geekpro G5000
CPU: Ryzen 7 7840H
GPU: Nvidia 4060 6GB
RAM: 16 GB 5600Mhz

Did you try undervolting or using Curve Optimizer for the Ryzen processor? Your laptop is on the latest BIOS version? You can try and reapply thermal paste and pads of higher quality to help offset the heat built up in your laptop.

What OS are you on? Perhaps try and remove some items in your startup menu/list?

1. "Did you try undervolting or using Curve Optimizer for the Ryzen processor?" No, i did not.
2. "Your laptop is on the latest BIOS version?" Yes, bios version is the latest.
3. "You can try and reapply thermal paste and pads of higher quality to help offset the heat built up in your laptop." I reapplied honeywell ptm 7950 on both CPU and GPU in January. Although GPU temp saw a great improvement before reapplying, CPU temp didn't.
4. I'm using windows 11. I only have a few programs in my startup list (including onedrive)

By the way, I notice that when gaming, CPU temp is around 10 -15 degree higher than GPU. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
