LAPTOP CPU UPGRADE HELP asap

Hello All,

I have a toshiba a505-s6033 in the link below. It has an i7-720qm processor. i cannot upgrade to a new laptop so i need to max out this one. can someone please suggest to me what the highest performance i7 model number cpu i can purchase that will be a straight forward swap and wont have any heating issues etc.i do a lot of corel photo editing for my website so i need the most performance i can out of it. thank you in advance

As a rule you cant upgrade the CPU in most laptops as they solder them in place. Also the cooling provided is minimum needed usually. Before considering any upgrades make sure the CPU can be removed.

i7-820QM 95% sure this should work, same socket, same TDP

i7-940XM Slightly less sure on this one, same socket, higher tdp


Tried to look in a few places for compatability and I coudlnt' find anything to make me feel comfortable with them.
