laptop cpu usage very high idle

Bought a laptop for my little sister. its an Acer Aspire F5-522 and it has an AMD A6-9210 processor 128gb ssd and 4gb ddr4 ram.

the laptop came with mcafee antivirus , and that antivirus seems to use alot of the cpu , its on 100% cpu usage in idle and most of it is from that antivirus. was wondering if that is normal , if so should i use another antivirus?

You are right. Uninstall mcafee and use another anti virus solution.
